Augmented Reality for Service
A customer needed their technicians, customers, and distributers to be able to quickly identify the parts needed for replacement. Rather than create and maintain an experience for each of their hundreds of products, they wanted 1 single experience which could dynamically pull the latest CAD data from their file repository and update the experience to support that product, allowing part identification, part search, subsystem viewing, and replacement list creation, all tied back to the latest CAD file.

Empowering Frontline Service Technicians with 3D Data
This AR experience allows service technicians to search for parts, isolate subassemblies, get part metadata, and create lists to purchase the correct replacement parts. The most interesting part of this experience is that everything is dynamic. When the user opens the experience, the CAD file is pulled from a remote file repository and based on that file the AR experience is updated. This experience changes the subsystems and the searchable metadata file on the fly as the CAD file is loaded. This allows the customer to create 1 experience and use it to show their entire suite of products without the need for long development cycles for each one or the need to maintain hundreds of nearly identical experiences.
